In good spirits.

In high spirits, we are heading to markets and street fairs again
to raise money with all the donated items for the school where I have been helping for 13 years.
My next goal is to help children with their study costs;
if a child can enjoy a good education and then finds work, you help the whole family. Our school starts with two small classes of the Cress with approximately 20 children, and then classes 1 and 2 reach about 25. Classes 3, 4, 5, and 6 are still quite full, but after that, the children either have to help at home or work at the market, or they run out of money or lose interest. So the highest classes are the smallest. In 2023, only six children graduated. Many want to, but the money is lacking.
I also want to go to Sandema for a month next year to help Margreet Carpaij,
who set up the Lumen Mundi foundation.
I have visited a school for disabled children before and found it admirable, which is why I would like to roll up my sleeves there and donate a small contribution.
In 2023, I had been at my project for a year and still hear nice stories every week from new volunteers who came after me, as well as about the lovely football pitch we built back then. I especially appreciate that the little ones can now play sports right next to the school; that is a big plus. I am happy that we can give many children a wonderful time at school.
